The YEGs attending the 11th Asia Regional Conference of the IAEG in Kathmandu had a very successful networking event.
The day of activities included technical talks, a questions-answer panel comprised of experienced IAEG vice presidents, and a traditional Nepali dinner.
Two members were awarded a joint first prize for best talk. Congratulations to Sophie Bainbridge of Golder Associates, Christchurch; and Mainak Ghosh Roy of NHPC Ltd of Haryana! Both prize winners were awarded cash and a signed copy of ‘Developments in Engineering Geology’, a special publication by the Geological Society of London
