The IAEG Secretary General, Faquan Wu, has issued the call for nominations for the Richard Wolters Prize, 2018.

The Richard Wolters Prize for 2018 will be presented by IAEG at the occasion of 13th IAEG Congress in San Francisco, California on September 17-21, 2018. The prize has been awarded biannually since 1986 to commemorate the life and work of Dr Richard Wolters, his significant achievements in the advancement of engineering geology and his important role in the development of the IAEG. The Richard Wolters Prize specifically recognies meritorious scientific achievement by a younger member of the engineering geology profession (see requirements below).

The candidates should be members of IAEG and less than 35 years of age on 1st January 2018 in which the award is to be made. The Nominations for the candidates should be sent to the Secretary General before May 15, 2018 including the following documents:
a) a copy of the nominee’s curriculum vitae;
b) a list of publications, identifying the three most important papers;
c) a statement of support for the nominee which should not be longer than two single spaced typed A4 pages including confirmation that the candidate will attend 13th IAEG Congress where the Prize is to be contested. Competition will be held during 13th IAEG Congress (in San Francisco, California on September 17-21, 2018).
