DESCRIPTION:The 6th World Landslide Forum “Landslides Science for sustainable development” that will be held in Florence at the Palazzo dei Congressi from 14 to 17 November 2023. \nThe event is jointly organized by the International Consortium on Landslides (Kyoto\, Japan)\, the International Programme on Landslides (IPL) and the UNESCO Chair on Prevention and Sustainable Management of Geo-hydrological Hazards at the University of Florence. \nThe Forum is focused on Landslide Science for Sustainable Development\, as a contribution to the Kyoto 2020 Commitment for global promotion of understanding and reducing landslide disaster risk (KLC2020). \nScientists\, stakeholders and policy makers working in the area of landslide analysis\, landslide disaster investigation and risk reduction are encouraged to share their work with the global community by submitting abstracts and presenting their work at the WLF6.

DESCRIPTION:The 3rd Mediterranean Geosciences Union Annual Meeting will be held this year at the Congress Center of Istanbul Technical University\, Turkey. \nVisit our website (www.medgu.org) to learn more about the event. \nOn this occasion\, we are pleased to invite you to take part in the conference (in person or virtually) and share/discuss your latest research findings. \nMedGU-23 Key points:\nThe MedGU Annual Meeting is one of the largest international geoscience meetings in the Mediterranean region.\nIt aims to provide a forum where geoscientists\, especially early career researchers\, can present and discuss their findings with experts in all fields of geosciences.\nThe MedGU-23 takes place this year on 27–30 November 2023 in Istanbul\, Turkey.\nIt will go ahead in person but there will be a possibility to present online.\nIt will feature talks and panels covering a diverse range of geoscience and geoscience-society topics.\nAbstract submissions (max. 350 words) will be accepted until 10 June 2023.\nThe MedGU-23 encourages submissions of research works not only from the Mediterranean region\, but from all regions of the world.\nBefore submission\, please read the Guidelines.\nThe MedGU-23 Proceedings will be published in Springer/IEREK ASTI Series (indexed in Scopus & SCImago).\nSelected papers will be published in some Springer and Elsevier journals (see Special Issues).\nRead more details about our MedGU-23 Publication Plan.\nDiscover her the MedGU-21 and MedGU-22.\nContact us\, if you need more information: contact@medgu.org
