DESCRIPTION:RC13 is co-organized by Society for Rock Mechanics & Engineering Geology (Singapore) and The Geological Society of Hong Kong. The organizers offer an ideal opportunity and platform for professionals from the international engineering geology community to exchange the latest experiences and ideas on engineering geology\, particularly on the conference theme “Engineering Geology for Sustainable Resource and Infrastructure Development”. In addition to the technical programs\, we will organize short courses\, workshops\, technical visits\, exhibitions\, as well social programs. We will also offer attractive programs for young researchers and students\, such as Young Engineering Geologist Session. \nIn 2019\, Singapore released an underground masterplan that maps out the underground space and its potential use. SUMMARY:CIGOS 2021 - Emerging Technologies and Applications for Green Infrastructure
DESCRIPTION:The 6th edition\, CIGOS 2021 co-organized by the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts (AVSE Global) and the University of Transport Technology (UTT) in scientific collaboration with the National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE) will be held in Ha Long\, Vietnam on October 28 to 29\, 2021. \nCIGOS 2021 welcomes the submission of quality papers from world-wide researchers\, practitioners\, policymakers and entrepreneurs with their recent advancements as well as knowledge and experiences on various topics related to the theme of “Emerging Technologies and Applications for Green Infrastructure”. Moreover\, CIGOS 2021 particularly aims at promoting beneficial economic partnership\, technological transfers within enterprises as well as on developing the institutional cooperation on research and higher education. \nAll submitted papers will be peer-reviewed by at least two relevant experts in the international scientific committee of CIGOS 2021. DESCRIPTION:Machine Learning & Risk Assessment in Geoengineering \nGeotechnical engineering deals with more uncertainties (due to nature of materials\, e.g. soil and rock) than other areas of civil and mechanical engineering. Modeling the behavior of such materials in geotechnical engineering applications is complex and sometimes beyond the abili- ty of most traditional forms of physically-based engineer- ing methods.
